I have short hair, and my current hair length is prone to flyaways. I've also got lots of baby hair so I need to take ~extra~ steps to look polished. I came across Dyson's new 2-in-1 Flyaway Smoother, the latest attachment for the Supersonic Hair Dryer. I decided to give it a spin and find out if does live up to its promise that I could achieve a salon-worthy blowout on my own. It's P31,500 a set so I'm pretty sure you're curious if it is worth the price tag. Read on to see my review:

How I used the Dyson Flyaway Smoother Attachment
First, let me give you an overview of my haircare routine
My current haircare routine may have affected the results of this review, I wash with a styling shampoo to make my hair more manageable. I then apply conditioner to the ends of my tresses. My hair is super frizzy and prone to flyaways so I need all the nourishing I could get. For styling, I spritzed hair styling water on damp tresses to protect my follicles from the heat.

How to use the Dyson Supersonic Flyaway Smoother Attachment to volumize the roots
I simply brushed my hair back a few times to lift the roots! This is the fastest way I achieved a voluminous blowout.
How to use the Dyson Supersonic Flyaway Smoother Attachment to get rid of tikwas
After spritzing the ends of my tresses with heat protectant spray, I slowly brushed my hair inwards. It took a few attempts before I got the results I wanted. It's hard to hold the brush attachment inward because the device would hit my neck. This bothered me a ~tiny bit~, but I knew that when the layers grew longer, it won't be an issue.
Here's a short video demo on how to use it:
My Dyson Flyaway Smoother attachment review

I used the Dyson Supersonic on dry hair. But in case you're curious, my damp shoulder-length hair takes about 10 minutes to dry. The Dyson Supersonic is pretty fast when drying wet locks as compared to past hair dryers I used. This is how I justified the price tag because it helps shave time off my routine. (Time is the most expensive resource because you can never get it back.) The true test is if I could copy the salon blowout I get whenever I drop by Azta Urban Salon or Bench Fix for a haircut.
The pro approach to a salon blowout is to use a blow-dryer and roller brush to style the ends. This duo is also the key to voluminous locks. I've attempted this method before, and my arms were just not having it. Nakakangalay. Here's where the Dyson Supersonic 2-in-1 Flyaway Smoother Attachment comes in. It combines the function of the hair dryer and roller brush.

It took a few attempts before I figured out the ~*best*~ and easiest way to use the Dyson Supersonic 2-in-1 Flyaway Smoother Attachment. It took me several tries before I got the best technique. It can be challenging for someone with short hair because you'd have little room between the dryer's nozzle and your neck. With longer hair, it would be easy to just hold the ends of the hair and handle the attachment inwards.
But with that short time of using the Dyson Supersonic's Flyaway Smoother Attachment, I'm pretty impressed with the results. Expect to see me with gorgeous, put-together hair from now on. Just kidding! Jokes aside, I believe this attachment is life-changing because I never thought I could give my hair a decent blowout.
Is it worth the price tag? I would give this a go if my credit card would allow me to pay for it with a 6-month installment plan. I spend on gadgets to make my life easier so the same logic applies to the Dyson Supersonic.
