When we're tamad to go to salons, we have been taking matters into our own hands when it comes to our hair. Some of us have tried to bleach and color it, while others dare to cut their own locks by themselves.
Unfortunately, DIY haircuts don't always turn out okay. You may be left with bangs that are cut way *too* short. Don't fret, though. Even if you can't go to the salon to have them fixed, there are still ways to make them work. Keep on reading to be schooled:
What To Do If You Cut Your Bangs Too Short
-
Use a flat iron to "lengthen" them.
Short bangs have a tendency to stick out more due to their length. To prevent them from doing this, use your flat iron to stretch them out.
-
Secure them on top of your head.
If you can't be bothered to bust out your straightener, a couple of bobby pins will help hide your fringe. Just take your bangs, twist them, and secure them on top of your head.

Wear a headband.
On days where you just can't with your fringe, wear a headband to keep them away from your face and the eyes of the public. You may opt for one that is thicker so that none of the bangs stick out weirdly on top.
-
Sport a '90s-inspired center part hairstyle.
Take advantage of the resurgence in popularity of hair accessories and use them to camouflage your ~failed~ fringe. You can part your hair (along with your bangs) in the middle and use colorful clips to keep them in place a la Dua Lipa!

Accept that you've got too-short bangs.
If you're cursing yourself for failing at your DIY attempt, it's okay. It's not the end of the world. Your hair *will* grow back. On the plus side, micro bangs are very in right now, so you might just make it work!
