Barbie Imperial Shares How She Does Her Go-To Foundation-Free Makeup Look

As much as we love our full-coverage foundations, there are definitely days when we want to skip them and let our skin ~breathe~. So when Barbie Imperial shared how she achieves her go-to foundation-free makeup look in her latest vlog, we were all ears! "Hindi ako mahilig mag foundation kapag lumalabas ako kasi medyo pawisin ako," she explained. We totally get you, Barbie!

1. Prep, prep, prep! 

   To keep her makeup from melting off, Barbie prepped her skin with this mattifying primer from Dior. According to the actress, "it's very gentle. Kinakapitan talaga ng makeup yung primer na 'to."

2. Spot conceal 

   After priming her skin, Barbie went straight to concealing her blemishes. In the video, she opened up about having cystic acne and how it used to make her feel insecure. She recalled, "feeling ko hindi ako maganda so ang dami ko na trintry na gamot." But eventually, the 24-year-old learned to accept her acne: "Normal magka-pimple."

   When concealing her acne marks, Barbie used a concealer that was a bit lighter than her skin tone to reduce redness.

   

   Then, she applied a darker concealer to her zits to minimize the appearance of the raised bumps.

   To even out her complexion, she then applied another layer of the first concealer she used. The result was amazing!

3. Set the base with powder

   As an oily-skinned gal, Barbie said that using a face powder is a must: "Ang bilis ko mag oily." TBH, same!

4. Set the brows 

   Barbie is a big fan of ~bushy~ eyebrows. To achieve that, she brushed up her kilay and set them with a brow soap. After waiting for them to dry completely, she then filled them in with a brow pencil. "Sinusundan ko lang yung shape ng kilay ko," she shared.

5. Contour 

   Admittedly, Barbie said that she doesn't know how to contour her face, so she would usually just contour her nose to make it appear more defined. She also applied some highlighter on the tip and the bridge of her nose.

6. Define the eyes 

   Fun fact: When applying eyeliner, she only creates a wing—she doesn't line her entire lid for a subtle cat eye.

7. Apply some blush! 

   For her blush, Barbie mixes her powder highlighter with her powder blush for a healthy-looking glow. 

   

8. Line the lips

   Before applying her lip tint, Barbie lined her lips with an MLBB lip liner to make them appear fuller.
