When it comes to special events, it's tempting to always rock a full-coverage foundation. After all, we want to look snatched and glammed up! But this year's ABS-CBN Ball, Belle Mariano chose to go a different route with her makeup look. Through a collaboration with her makeup artist Jake Galvez, the actress amazed viewers with her translucent skin and watercolor-inspired eyes for the special night.

We had the chance to chat with Jake and break down Belle's stunning look. According to her makeup artist, the How To Spot A Red Flag actress wanted to highlight her naturally beautiful complexion with a glazed skin effect. So they kept the complexion products minimal and let her natural beauty shine. The keywords for this look were: soft and radiant.
"For Belle's makeup, the look is basically a no-makeup makeup look. I used her favorite skin care products from Pond's to prep her skin," Jake shared.
"For the base, I skipped foundation but added a bit of warmth on the sides of the face using [the] DIOR powder to create dimension," he added. "For her natural flush, I used the O.TWO.O x Jake Galvez [Misty Kiss Lock Color Matte] lipstick in HEOL as a blush and added highlight for dimension and create the 'glaze skin' effect using Rare Beauty and CHANEL highlighters."
To complement her glowing skin, Belle played with pastel hues and shimmer for her eye look. "On the eyes, a hint of Tiffany-blue color from Pat McGrath in the inner corners to make a subtle statement."
The playful eye look was topped off with custom wispy cluster lashes. "It is a custom-made cluster eyelashes I especially designed for her [and] crafted by artisans in Indonesia. It's a mix of 18 to 20mm natural wispy-type lashes. You won't find the length and style anywhere in the world," Jake revealed.
Her lips were kept minimal with a subtle MLBB hue. "I used my go-to lip product from Maybelline, three colors were used in her lips. Light peach on the upper lip, nudish pink on the bottom, and warm brown on the center lip for dimension."
Meanwhile, her hair—styled by RJ dela Cruz—was left down in a sleek, straight, and smooth to complement the subtle sophistication of her overall look.

The beautiful combo complemented her stunning Francis Libiran ensemble, which featured handcrafted metal floral embellishments by Vellora Jewelry PH. Her goal was to look timeless and elegant, and Belle definitely achieved that.
