Eyebrows can seem like a minor detail in your overall makeup routine, but if you're not doing them right and according to your face shape and features, there's a high chance it can throw off your entire beat.
Doing your eyebrows is a constant learning process too, and no one is immune to the struggles of doing them—not even a beauty queen like Catriona Gray. At the recent launch of the Strokes Cosmetics Brow Artist Collection, Cat shared the struggles she had with her brows in the early years of her pageant career, and walked us through her current foolproof three-step brow routine. (Yes, we took notes for you! *wink*)

Catriona Gray's Easy 3-Step Eyebrow Routine
Before she starts her brow routine, Cat makes sure that her eyebrows are clean and devoid of any product. "I like to make sure that there's no product there, which is why if I've done foundation first, I make sure that the brow area is clean of any products then I can just go in with foundation or concealer afterward," she shared.
1. Fill in the gaps using a pencil.
For any sparse areas on her brows, Cat likes going in with an eyebrow pencil to fill them in. She also shared that she "doesn't have any tails on the end of my brows, so kailangan ko i-draw talaga." She uses a combination of light and heavy strokes to further define them and get the intensity she likes.

2. Draw on hair-like strokes.
Cat is a big fan of natural-looking microbladed eyebrows, and she uses a brow pen to achieve the look, specifically the new Microblade Pen Hybrid (which will be released on March 3). A dual-sided eyebrow pen with super-fine tips—they only measure 0.02mm—the other side contains a single brush while the other has a dual prong that makes it easier to simulate the look of hair.
"This is also when I'll take into consideration, 'do I want to do a straight brow today, do I wanna do my usual brow shape, [or] do I wanna do a higher arch?'" she noted, adding that brows can really change your expression and overall look. She also shared that she loves using it as an eyeliner for her cat-eyes and inner corners because of the sharp and precise lines it makes!

3. Set the brows in place.
Catriona shared that since she has long, unruly brow hairs, she likes using the clear brow gel from Strokes to "define them and allow them to stay [in place] all day." However, if she's dealing with oiliness or wants to make sure that they really stay on, she goes in with the Brow Definer Palette to set her brows in place before applying the gel.
