Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony at Balesin Island Club on Thursday, February 15. The couple celebrated nine years of marriage in front of their dearest loved ones (Heart's mom Cecile Ongpauco walked her down the aisle!), and the bride wore two different gowns on their special day.

While there were some differences between the 2024 vow renewal and the couple's 2015 wedding, there were also several that stayed the same. For example, makeup artist Albert Kurniawan did Heart's bridal glam back in 2015, and as a full circle moment, she asked him to create the look for her renewal of vows!

In his first Instagram post, Albert penned a touching message about his friendship journey with his muse. "Nine years ago on your wedding day- was one of the pivotal part of my career as a makeup artist ... and Now- 9 years after on your renewal of vows ceremony, Im not only feeling honored being part of your glam team but, I feel special to witness your love to each other and to let us understand what love should be."
"It took me weeks to think and come up with a look that suits the beautiful moment of the renewal of vows of @iamhearte and @escuderochiz," Albert revealed. "I asked the bride herself so we collabed with this look."

Skin Prep
Heart and Albert decided on a "semi-dewy skin" look, and to achieve this the bride needed a flawless base. Albert used Aivee's Bright Eyes Mask and Crystal mask to moisturize her skin, a La Mer lip balm to prep her lips, and Skin Poem's Hydrating and Brightening Mist to lock in the moisture. We're taking notes, because she truly looked ~*radiant*~!
Base
In 2018, to mark his 10th year in the Philippine makeup business, Albert released the first collection of his makeup brand, Teviant—which of course included a collaboration with Heart, his longtime friend and muse, Fast forward to 2024, and it was a natural choice for him to use several of his own products.
He primed Heart's skin using all four products from Teviant's Ultimate Skin Master line: the Luminous Radiant Primer, followed by foundation in the shade NUDE (medium 1) and concealer in the shade LISBON (medium 1). The makeup artist then applied Teviant's Illuminating Loose Powder for that subtle glow, and switched to MAC Cosmetics' pressed powder in the shade NC30 for the finishing touch.

Face
Albert described this bridal glam as an "igari look." To create that "diffused apricot color blush," he made use of another Teviant product: the Deity Dust trio face palette in the shade First Date. By applying the blush across her cheeks and up the sides, tip, and underneath her nose, the makeup artist gave Heart "that lamig-lamigan look or "sipun-sipunan" look."
To give the look dimension, Albert used the same face palette to contour and highlight.
Eyes
Albert kept the eye makeup simple yet *eye-catching*. To create the iconic Heart Evangelista eye look, he used Teviant's Eye Intensifier pencil in the shade Nipah and topped it with a swipe of the Liquid Eyeliner Pen in the shade Virago to give the look more drama.
He smudged the edges of the graphic liner using a black eyeshadow from Makeup By Mario, and completed the glam with some light metallic color frosting around the eyes using the Ember Lights Eye Shadow Palette from Bobbi Brown.

Brows
if you're a fan of Heart's "semi brushed up brows," then you can cop the look by applying Teviant's Eyebrow Duo Powder in the shade Queen and combing through your arches with Strokes' Brow Fixer Gel.
Lips
Albert created the perfect "neutral nude satin lipstick" for Heart's special day. First, he used MAC Cosmetics' lip liner in Spice to line her pout. Then he applied Teviant's Velvet Drop multi-use tinted mousse serum in the shade Sex Appeal as the lip color base, combining it with Bobbi Brown's Luxe Moisturizing Lipstick in the shade Rosewood (described as a "medium pink nude").
He topped it off with a Chanel Levres Scintillantes Lipgloss in Beige Star (206), to ensure that Heart's pout stayed glossy throughout the ceremony.

Setting Spray
As the final step, Albert spritzed on Scott Barnes' Downright Dewy Mist to ensure that Heart's makeup would stay in place throughout the vow renewals until the wee hours of the wedding reception.
