On November 4, 2019, NARS Cosmetics unveiled its Studio 54 Holiday Collection in the Philippines. The whole line is all about glitter and decadence, to represent the sparkling scene of the once famed disco of the '70s. It features lipsticks, eye and cheek palettes, mascara, and lip glosses. The limited-edition lineup lets you live in excess and glamour, especially during the holiday season.
During the launch, NARS Cosmetics introduced their two local brand ambassadors, Liz Uy and Raymond Gutierrez—who both perfectly embody the Studio 54 Collection. It was refreshing to see a male endorser represent an international makeup brand. “It’s really a step forward for the beauty industry—everyone is represented. I think makeup is a tool that we can use to express ourselves,” Raymond shared.
Seeing Liz wearing shimmery party-ready makeup, we had to ask her glitter application secrets. ICYDK, sparkling eye makeup is challenging to work with. You may have to deal with fallout throughout the day. Liz shared a tip that’s pure genius: "I just use petroleum jelly. The glitter sticks to it, and when it falls, honestly, I just use lint remover—that's it—or like, masking tape."
LINT REMOVER, ladies and gentlemen! We never thought of that, but if it works for a glamorous girl like Liz, we bet it will work for us, too!
