Everyone loves a good dupe, especially when it's something along the lines of makeup and skincare. Oftentimes similar in formulation or shade, dupes are a godsend for every makeup aficionado's bank account. In case you've been wanting to find a cheaper alternative to say, Hourglass makeup products, you'll be glad to know that local brand Vice Cosmetics has a new collection called Aura that may or may not have something similar. Wink wink.

Here's what you need to know about the new Vice Cosmetics Aura Collection:
A quick Google search might give you different results since Vice Cosmetics has previously had a different Aura collection. This time around—let's call it Aura 2.0—a new formula is introduced to the bevy of blushes, contour powders, and highlighters. There are also new eyeshadow quads thrown into the mix.

Now, let's talk about what really matters. We got our hands on the collection in order to compare the products and suffice to say the rumors were true. The Aura Lit Up Tri-Palette in Solstice Dream (P345) is a good contender for Hourglass' famed baked powders and blush that range from P2,000 to P3,000 a pop. The local version's take on the product also comes in baked form—a process that allows it to be used wet or dry—and if we were to be specific, the blush shade Pink Flush can give Hourglass' Luminous Glow blush a run for its money.
Both powders have a smooth pearlescent finish but Hourglass' version has a smoother, more luxe feel than Vice Cosmetics'. In terms of the color payoff, the Tri-Palette takes the cake as it has more pigment packed into the powder, giving you a more intense swatch when applied to the skin.

The Vice Cosmetics Palette was more pigmented (right cheek) considering it only needed one brush swipe compared to Hourglass which required two swipes (left cheek).
Other products in the collection include the Aura Soft Glaze eyeshadow quads (P295) in Sunset Hues, Pink Dawn, and Golden Dusk, which have similar shades and formulation to some of Charlotte Tilbury's more popular hues; Aura Blush Mood (P245) in Soft Mauve, Warm Berry, Cozy Coral, and Apricot Crush; Aura Glow Spell (P245) highlighter in Champagne and Rosé; Aura So Sculpted (P245) bronzer/contour powder in Latte Brown and Toasty Cocoa.
Vice Cosmetics is available on e-commerce platforms Lazada and Shopee.
