As a certified beauty girlie, I love wearing (and collecting) makeup—my embarrassingly overflowing drawers of cosmetics are proof, LOL. But if there's one thing that has become my white whale since I started wearing makeup, it's gotta be applying false lashes. I have always struggled with my lashes in general.
It was also only recently that I found my holy grail mascara. Though my beloved Heroine Make mascara gets the job done, I find that its result isn't enough for days when I want my eyes to really pop. This is where false lashes would come in handy, but unfortunately, I'm not the greatest in applying them. Not only that, but even when a professional makeup artist does them for me for work events, I would end up shedding a few tears because the lash bands would poke my inner corners since they're never the right size for me.
But one day, my TikTok algorithm was algorithm-ing and kept showing me ads for Elyzza's brand of false lashes. They sell lash clusters that are apparently easier to apply than regular falsies. I was hesitant, but my very curious and nosy self went ahead and bought them. If you're still on the fence about trying them out for yourself, I gotchu with this review!
What are the Elyzza Fishtail Anime Eyelashes?
Elyzza sells a variety of styles, but I went with the Fishtail one since it looked the most dramatic to me and I would see the difference immediately. Like with their other variants, the Fishtail style came with a lot of choices: a 20-piece mini set, a 50-piece standard set, and a 122-piece big box set. All of them have the option of having a pair of tweezers and tubes of lash glue included.

I chose the 50-piece standard set that came with a pair of tweezers and two small tubes of lash glue. It came with 10 rows of lashes, each set containing five clusters perfect for one eye. Each set also came with different lengths of clusters for the start, middle, and end of your lashes. While you could choose to apply all of them to your lashes for a fuller look, you can also opt to use only a few pieces for a more low-key vibe.
An honest review of the Elyzza Fishtail Anime Eyelashes
As a self-proclaimed falsies noob but ever-so-curious beauty girl, I was intimidated by the rows of lash clusters. But I was determined to try—if only to get my money's worth, haha! Thankfully, the set came with instructions on how to apply them, plus I watched a ton of TikTok reviews as a visual learner, so I felt like I could achieve the same look.
After curling my lashes as instructed, I applied mascara to keep my hairs up and avoid my eyes from looking droopy once the lashes were on. (Mascara isn't a required step, as per Elyzza's instructions, but I wanted to give these cluster lashes a fighting chance.) Then I carefully applied glue to each lash, making sure to let it air-dry for 10 to 15 seconds to make it tacky.
I chose to apply only the second, third, fourth, and fifth clusters to my eye (leaving out the first one) since I wanted a cat-eye effect and I didn't want my eyes to look "heavy." After a bit of practice, I'm happy to report that it only took less than 10 minutes for the finished look—something I never expected since I don't really get much practice with applying regular falsies!

It's totally beginner-friendly.
I've always loved the look of full lashes, but I can never get used to using regular falsies no matter how hard I try. With Elyzza's cluster lashes, however, I was surprised that it was much more beginner-friendly than regular fake eyelashes—you would think that applying a single lash strip would be easier than applying multiple small ones, but it was the other way around for this one!
The glue, while definitely sticky, also doesn't set immediately. That means you can still remove the cluster if you're not happy with your original placement.
Once they're on, they're ON.
As a frequent user of motorcycle taxi apps like Move It, Joyride, and Angkas, I'm used to having the wind blow on my face. I was initially worried that the lashes would just fly off as we were zooming along EDSA, leaving me with bungi-bungi eyelashes, but lo and behold, they stayed on.

You can play around with how the result will look.
Like I mentioned earlier, Elyzza recommends putting all five clusters to your lashes for a full look, but if you want something more low-key or your eyes are too small to fit all five, you can still achieve a nice fanned-out effect even if you use fewer clusters.
While I would stick to using just four clusters per eye, I would definitely try using all five if I have an event to attend where I need to look more dramatic!
Elyzza Fishtail Anime Eyelashes: Is it worth the hype?
Three words: WORTH. THE. HYPE. And this is coming from someone who loves the look of falsies but could never apply them right. The Elyzza lash clusters were easy to apply and only took me less than 10 minutes to get my desired result.
I'm sure that with more practice, I'll probs be able to get it done in five—perfect for me since I'm always in a rush, LOL! I'm also interested in trying out Elyzza's other lash styles in the future.
