Barbie recently posted a series of photos of her in a rust-colored bikini with floral details, and NGL, she looked totally ready for ~*hot girl*~ summer!
A lot of netizens and fellow celebs left the most supportive comments and even called Barbie a "real-life Barbie" that can rival the intense heat index! She showed back the love by liking their comments.
However, one netizen left a comment that should've just stayed in drafts. "May stretch mark na din pala kahit di pa nanganak," they wrote.
Unfazed, Barbie replied: "It's normal :)."
ICYDK, having stretch marks is *totally* normal! Anyone can have them—even those who haven't given birth. According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, stretch marks can develop when you get a growth spurt during puberty, pregnancy, rapid weight loss or gain, or when you do weight training that causes you to have rapid muscle growth.
Barbie Imperial versus Body-Shamers
As someone who likes wearing bikinis, Barbie is no stranger to receiving all sorts of comments from netizens—even unfriendly ones. However, the 25-year-old actress takes them all in stride and doesn't let them get to her. She even dishes out the chillest clapbacks!
For example, when she posted pictures of her wearing a swimsuit, one netizen commented that her boobs weren't pantay.
Barbie took to Twitter to react, saying: "Bakit 'di pantay na dede sobrang big deal." We agree! Boobies come in all shapes and sizes—they're sisters, not twins, after all.
"Nagpakita kang katawan mo naka-swimsuit. May nag-photoshop pinahubad ka. Pareho din nag-pabastos [ka lang] sa sarili mo. In the first place [dapat] di ka na nag-post," part of the comment said. Eep.
"Parang in short sinabi niya na ginusto ko daw kaya na-photoshop ng hubad 'yung katawan ko. Wala kang [dapat]-alam kung ano gusto kong suotin, okay? Kasi hindi naman ikaw bumili ng swimsuit ko at hindi rin naman ikaw ang nag-picture sa'kin," Barbie clapped back.
Barbie is also not one to shy away from flaunting her tiger stripes—even the ones on her chest. "Ya I know, it’s normal," she captioned a photo of her wearing a green sundress with a mauve bikini underneath.
