In case you need to hear it, here's a reminder that having acne is *normal*—everyone gets them, including beauty queens like Celeste Cortesi.
On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 titleholder opened up about her struggling with acne breakouts after competing in the prestigious pageant.
"We all know how stressful competitions can be, and I wasn’t spared from that same kind of stress," she wrote. "After the Miss Universe competition, my skin went through a lot of stress. From the changing weather condition, irregular sleeping patterns, long hours of wearing makeup, etc."

Celeste continued, "The day after the competition, I woke up and my face was all red. It was a really bad breakout. What’s worst is that it kept on coming back."
"[You're] so real for this," one follower commented. Another netizen wrote, "Aww as [someone] who easily gets pimple breakouts, I totally know the feeling."

When it comes to treating acne, there's no one-size-fits-all solution. This is why it's best to visit your dermatologist. For Celeste, what helped clear her skin is getting facials, including a laser treatment.
"That nightmare came to an end, thanks to @belobeauty! I’ve been religiously visiting their clinic for 6 months for my facial and their amazing ADVALight treatment," she shared.
According to Belo Medical Group Inc.'s website, the ADVALight is "the world’s only solid-state laser, capable of producing two wavelengths in a single spot." It's recommended for "the immediate reduction of vascular lesions, melasma, acne scars, and wrinkles."
She also posted a selfie that shows her skin now, which has recovered from acne:
