A Pinay TikToker has gone viral online for her take on how plus-size women find love.

Liezl Chu, who is admittedly a plus-size girlie herself, got *real* about what she thinks plus-size women must do in order for them to find their ideal partner—or in her exact words, a "prince charming."

She noted her observation, saying plus-size women have a lesser chance of finding a partner in this day and age. "Kung physically malaki kang babae, mataba ka, like me, the chances of you finding your ideal high-value prince charming, gradually decreases," Liezl stated in her TikTok video.

Liezl attempted to make a case on how slim women can easily enter a relationship because men would prefer them over chubby girls.

"Nakita ko women, most women who have found their prince charming are generally slim women. Kung mas slim kang babae, mas mataas 'yung chances mo na i-trato nang tama ng lalaki," she strongly proclaimed.

She even argued that some men who decide to be with plus-size girls might have a more chill mentality, a.k.a the pwede na 'to mindset. "Usually 'yung mga lalaking napupunta sa babaeng matataba, mga gentleman... kumbaga may mindset na 'pwede na 'to.'"

In the comments section of her TikTok video, Liezl disclosed that she's currently in a happy relationship. Before her comment, Liezl had mentioned how she made sure to improve a lot of things about herself for a better chance at finding love.

"Right now, I'm going to the gym. I have improved my weight. I have improved the way I dress, the way I talk. In-improve ko kung paano makipag-usap sa strangers. Inimprove ko 'yung knowledge ko," Liezl proudly said.

Before she ended the video, she told her viewers, "It takes time, it takes a while. And there's a better chance na mahanap mo 'yung prince charming kung mas payat ka. It sucks but it's reality."

Netizens react to Liezl Chu's thoughts on plus-size women in relationships

While others agreed with Liezl, some netizens called out her viewpoint, saying she should not have to improve herself just to find a partner.

One netizen commented, "Please ['wag] nating gawing dahilan magpapayat para maka-attract ng lalaking para satin. Love yourself first, then everything will follow."

"Note to everyone: Do it for yourself, not just because you're looking for a guy na magmamahal sa'yo," another comment read.

Here at Cosmopolitan Philippines, we believe that your weight should never dictate your worth. Beauty is found in other "sizes" per se, and ultimately you should love yourself first before you can share that love—or find it—with others. If you're going to "improve" yourself, do it for YOU, and not to please someone else.
