Though, the singer-actress has also challenged these standards by being a staunch champion for loving her body the way it is. She recently took to Instagram to post a couple of selfies with no makeup on, giving her fans a reminder that going barefaced—acne, blemishes, skin flare-ups, and scars be damned—is beautiful, too.

With nothing but a sweater on and her visage au naturale, Selena gave the camera a slight smirk. "Me," she simply captioned the post, not even bothering to edit out the obvious pimple right under her nose. Her brown locks were also left in their genuinely frizzy state, which, if you ask us, only makes her appear more endearing.
This isn't the first time Selena celebrated her real image on her Instagram grid, as she just posed for a sultry swimsuit collection last year. In collaboration with La'Mariette, she actually designed the bikinis she was modeling herself. While the 30-year-old was all glammed-up in the face department, the photos were actually left unedited and unretouched, which showed off her bod and all of its gorgeous curves.
