Sheryn Regis just got matching tattoos with her newfound love, Mel de Guia. The singer's first tattoo experience was extra memorable because she also got inked by Apo Whang-Od, the country's oldest traditional tattoo artist. The couple traveled all the way to the mountains of Kalinga to visit the legendary mambabatok.
On Instagram, Sheryn shared some snaps of their treasured experience and of course, their new tatts! She wrote: "A memorable experience with a Legendary Tattoo Artist APO WHANG-OD described as the 'last' and oldest 'mambabatok' of the larger Kalinga ethnic group."
On YouTube, Mel also uploaded a vlog of their entire trip to Kalinga. To get to Whang-Od's place, they hiked for about 30 to 40 minutes. "Kahit 'yung pagod niyo sobra, worth it naman," Mel said.

On top of that, Sheryn and Mel got Whang-Od's three-dot signature tattoo on their hands.

While tattoo pain is subjective, Sheryn says for her, "masakit siya ng onti pero tiis-tiis ganda."
