In Solenn Heussaff's latest vlog, the actress/artist/entrepreneur compared her first and second pregnancies. She made the video on her 38th week and uploaded it two weeks after giving birth to her and her husband Nico Bolzico's second child in mid-December 2022.

For starters, Solenn said she took her second pregnancy in a "chill" way. Meaning, there was no overacting to everything that happens and no overreading any information she gets online.

"If you remember, my first pregnancy was all over the place," she told her audience on her YouTube channel. "I had a high-risk pregnancy. I was told I could give birth at five months."

But Solenn safely carried through her full term to give birth to her and Nico's panganay Thylane, nicknamed Tili, on January 1, 2020. Tili just turned three.

For Solenn's second pregnancy, which she and her husband announced in July 2022, they decided to go to another doctor.

But she still had an issue with her protein S, "a vitamin K-dependent, anticoagulant glycoprotein that acts chiefly in enhancing the ability of protein C to inactivate factor V and factor VIII," according to the Merriam-Webster.

A deficiency of protein S is associated with an increased risk of venous thrombosis, or the formation of a blood clot within a blood vessel.

Solenn gave more details on her condition that only happens when she's pregnant in her past interview with Smart Parenting: "Ang protein S ko, mababa. Kaya kailangan mas liquid ’yung blood, so that the oxygen and the nutrients can flow to the baby."

"The blood clotting in the first pregnancy was connected to APAS," Solenn said on her vlog, referring to a condition called Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome. "There’s no APAS this time, I’m just prone to blood clotting. Meaning, I have to continue injecting."

Solenn got so used to the injections that she could already do it by herself, unlike in her first pregnancy when she needed Nico's help.

Still, the now mom of two said her second pregnancy was "such a breeze." She explained, "I have so much energy. I do my workouts. I lift my daughter. I’m 38 weeks now, and she’s 15 kilos."

The one thing that's the same in her both pregnancies is the absence of stretch marks, which, she said, made a lot of people ask her why. She pointed out what science says about the possible role of genetics in having stretch marks, that's why it could be hereditary.

This is what Solenn thinks works for her: coconut oil, day and night.

"So every day, I put coconut oil," she said. "So I don’t really have stretch marks. I have a lot of veins and my pokes from injections…I don’t really have linea nigra, but that’s something you can’t control."

Diet-wise, Solenn said she'd been very careful with her food intake. "I gained 16 to 17 kilos in my first pregnancy. This pregnancy, I gained 10 kilos. In my first pregnancy, I was told to eat 3,000 calories. Now, I eat how I’ve always eaten. So, normal portions. I had carbs here and there, not daily."
