When we started growing body hair, we were taught to shave using razors—because these provided quick , hair-free results. But, the long-term effects of shaving are discoloration, chicken skin, and painful nicks. Good thing there's another option if you want to get rid of body hair and that's waxing!
Waxing can sound very anxiety-inducing and honestly, just downright terrifying. (I mean, your body hair is literally being *ripped* away from the hair follicle with force. Plus, the waxer is literally inches away from body parts that don't normally see the light of day. Eek.) However, waxing actually has a multitude of advantages as compared to shaving! Since the hair is being pulled straight from the follicle itself, there's little to no chance of ingrown hairs. It will also exfoliate your skin and remove the dead skin cells, so you're left with smoother, brighter pits. Hair also grows slower and finer the more times you wax. As time passes by, waxing will just be a breeze for you (read: less painful) and you'll have to go to the salon fewer times.
