Another day, another TikTok hack! This time, we will be talking about a selfie trick that has people—even beauty gurus—shookt. Most of us aren't professional photographers, so we are pretty much sariling sikap when it comes to taking our pictures for the 'gram. The close proximity of our phone, however, makes our faces look bigger and our features more pronounced. This isn't exactly the most flattering angle for all our ~thirst traps~, so imagine our luck when we stumbled upon this nifty trick popularized by @babysnitchery on TikTok. In her video, instead of taking a selfie using your front camera with your phone up close, she recommends capturing the photo by extending your arm and zooming in instead. She explains that taking your picture nearer your face actually distorts your features, aka it makes your nose bigger, your cheeks plumper, and your forehead wider.

Beauty guru James Charles tried it out for himself and posted the results on Twitter, and the before-and-after photos are ~shocking~. The zoomed-in pic looks more flattering than the one taken from the normal selfie-taking distance!
So cool! It's safe to say our Instagram thirst trap selfie game has leveled TF up.
