I’ve Found My *Forever* In These P999 Lash Extensions

Lash extensions have made a comeback in recent years, thanks to a combination of mask-wearing as well as local celebs donning them year-round. While the impact of longer lashes is positive for anyone, I’ve always felt that they made my chinita eyes look more open, awake, and expressive.

I rediscovered lash extensions earlier this year. I usually apply mascara when I want my eyes to stand out more, but for an upcoming beach trip, I felt extensions would be the smarter choice. I went to a premium lash salon and *loved* the result. Friends also complimented my lashes in photos and when they saw me IRL. But despite wanting to continue getting my lashes done, the steep price tag made it unsustainable. At the same time, I was convinced that I had to go to an expensive place to get quality lash extensions.

Enter, The Browery. I recently moved into the neighborhood and spotted it while exploring the area. Their service menu is plastered on their windows so I was able to see right away that the prices were very reasonable. At that point, my birthday was coming up and I wanted to get my lashes done again, so I decided to give it a go.

What lash extension service did you get?

The Browery carries two types of lashes: silk (which is synthetic, darker, and looks fuller) and mink (which uses human hair, is lighter, and is softer). In terms of shapes and sizes, they have D curl lashes in four lengths. They also base the pricing on the look you want to achieve, not the number of strands they will use.

Experience

The appointment began with the technician asking if I preferred a doll or cat-eye look. I opted to show her a peg—the viral TikTok filter, LOL!—of what I wanted my lashes to look like. She recommended the “Kikay” (or Full) service as my peg required a combination of lashes in different lengths with a cat-eye effect. I also wanted lighter and more natural lashes, so I opted to upgrade to the mink variant. The total service was P999.

The process was pretty straightforward: My eyes were first taped to ensure my lids stayed in place, and then the lashes were carefully applied one by one. After an hour or so, I was asked to open my eyes to check if I was good with the result. As I was already happy with my lashes, I closed my eyes for a bit more to allow the glue to dry completely.

Was it worth it?

I’d say it’s a resounding yes! While it’s a given that my lashes looked amazing, I also love how it didn’t feel like I had anything on my eyes. To me, the service is more or less the same as the ones offered at premium lash salons but at a fraction of the cost. I also prefer it at The Browery because they’re more flexible. Apart from not having a limit on the number of strands, they also don’t have a maximum number of days for retouching. So whether it’s been two weeks or a month, as long as your lashes could work with just a retouch instead of a new set, they will do it. I recommend The Browery to anyone who’s looking to get their lashes done at a reasonable price—it’s super sulit!

The Browery is located at 28C East Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig City. For more information, you may contact them at 0917 173 9653 or via Facebook at The Browery.
