White Castle just named Angelie “Pench” Andanar as its newest calendar girl! This Filipina content creator has been shattering beauty stereotypes with her tattoos. Fun fact: “90 per cent” of her body is covered in ink, from her neck, arms, legs, to her bum.
Celebrating individuality, the liquor brand wrote: “Tattoo art is a form of self-expression. In some ethnic cultures, it can signify beauty, bravery, and even spiritual devotion.”
White Castle is also taking a stand against tattoo discrimination along with their 2024 calendar girl: “This year, White Castle Whisky joins forces with Pench Andanar in her battle to end tattoo discrimination. Kapag may tattoo adik na? Kriminal agad? Di ka lang pinayagan magpatattoo e.”
Pench is a freelance model and a single mother from Pampanga.
“Grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “My name is Pench, your White Castle 2024 calendar girl.”
This isn’t the first time White Castle has shaken up beauty standards. In 2022, Sassa Gurl became the first-ever member of the LGBTQIA+ community to be featured on the liquor brand’s decades-long campaign.
Ria Atayde also broke the Internet as White Castle’s 2023 calendar girl, reminding everyone that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.
