Sad news today. Singer-turned-rapper-actor Aaron Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, has passed away. His agency Big Umbrella Management has confirmed his death. 

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy, Alejandra Parra, noted that police officers had responded to a phone call reporting a death at Aaron's home in Lancaster, California. According to her, a "deceased person" had been found and investigators had arrived at the residence. Multiple reports claim he was found in his bathtub. 

Aaron started his music career in 1997 as an opening act for the Backstreet Boys. Later on, he debuted his album Aaron Carter, featuring his first single, "Crush On You", at age nine. 

The artist has been dealing with substance abuse for several years and has also gone to rehab several times. He has a baby boy, Prince, with his ex-girlfriend, Melanie Martin.
