Kim Chiu & Gerald Anderson
We know. This is not the first time that Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson were spotted at the ABS-CBN Ball. But it's quite a nostalgic take to see them now thriving in two separate careers. Kim's first notable love team partner was Gerald and ofc, their love team was called KimErald.
At the peak of their love team era, Kim and Gerald admitted to dating each other in 2006. Four years later, they called it quits for undisclosed reasons. Fast forward to today, Kim attended the ABS-CBN Ball with her latest love team partner, Paulo Avelino.
Kim and Paulo's pairing, KimPau, garnered the love and support of thousands of fans, resulting in the success of their first-ever film, My Love Will Make You Disappear. The ABS-CBN Ball 2025 now happens to be the first time they're walking down the red carpet as—not a couple, LOL—but as a "tandem," as they mentioned during the event's red carpet live stream.
Meanwhile, Gerald was on the red carpet with his longtime girlfriend, Julia Barretto—who was also a homegrown talent of Star Magic, ABS-CBN's talent agency. Julia and Gerald have been together for almost six(!) years now.

Maja Salvador and Gerald Anderson
Okay, we all know that Gerald has been a heartthrob since he entered showbiz. The actor actually has two ex-girlfriends at the ABS-CBN Ball. Aside from Kim, Maja Salvador also attended the ball.
ICYDK, Maja and Gerald dated for two years before their controversial split in 2015. But if Gerald is with his current longtime GF now, Maja owned the red carpet with her hubby, Rambo Nuñez. The ABS-CBN Ball is one of Maja's official comeback appearances after giving birth to their first baby girl, Maria. And well, she totally slayed! :)
Nadine Lustre and James Reid
For the first time since 2019, James Reid and Nadine Lustre are both back at the ABS-CBN Ball—but not as each other's plus-ones. As we all know, James and Nadine were once one of the most loved love teams in Philippine history until they announced their split in January 2020.
Five years later, James and Nadine are both happy with their respective relationships. James is with Issa Pressman, who also accompanied him to the red carpet tonight. James and Issa publicly confirmed their romance in 2023.
Although Nadine went solo at the ABS-CBN Ball 2025 red carpet, she has been steadily in love with Christophe Bariou since early 2022—and yes, we're loving every moment they share about their romance!
Amid all that, here's a fun fact: We once spotted James and Nadine sharing a beso moment as exes at a brand event in September 2023. Not only James and Nadine were there but also Issa :) They were all so cool about it.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla
This year's ABS-CBN Ball red carpet marks the first time Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are attending as exes. The last ABS-CBN Ball in September 2023 took place just two months before their showbiz-shaking breakup, ending the phenomenal love team known as KathNiel.
Rumors had already been swirling about trouble in paradise during that event. Interestingly, Kathryn made a bold statement that night, rocking a short wig and an ab-baring fiery dress—quite the contrast to her simple and fresh look this year.

Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez
Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez's past relationship might be ancient history for some, but it's still a chapter worth mentioning in this story. Anne and Richard dated for over a year in 2003. They were two of the sought-after young celebs at the time, and so their romance was deemed to be a big deal despite it being short-lived.
After their split in 2004, Anne disclosed in a 2010 interview that their breakup might have been caused by their "immaturity" at the time. "Maybe we were still immature then. It was one of the things we laughed about. And as I said, he's someone who learns from his mistakes," according to a report by Inquirer.net.
Anne is now married to Erwan Heussaff, and together, they're proud parents to their adorable daughter, Dahlia. Meanwhile, Richard is reportedly in a romantic relationship with Barbie Imperial (who was also at the event!) following his split from ex-wife Sarah Lahbati, which became public a few months ago. Despite their past, Sarah and Richard remain committed co-parents to their sons, Zion and Kai.
Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin
Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin's breakup might be quite fresh for some, especially to the fans of their former pairing called SethDrea.
In April 2022, Andrea broke her silence on speculations regarding her rumored romance with Seth. The former Senior High star then confirmed that she dated Seth for two years and they broke up in 2022. "We broke up last year. Early October 'yun. It was a painful breakup, but it was a mutual decision, 'yung paghihiwalay namin. We both loved each other truly and deeply. We learned so much from each other. But in the end, we realized na we weren't growing as individuals na," Andrea divulged in an Instagram Live.
At the time, Andrea even called Seth as her "first heartbreak." Now, Andrea is openly dating non-showbiz athlete Sam Fernandez. Meanwhile, Seth is out there breaking into the showbiz industry together with his new love team partner, Francine Diaz. And no, FranSeth have yet to label their relationship as more than a love team.
Jessy Mendiola and JM de Guzman
Jessy Mendiola and JM de Guzman's past relationship may be a chapter long behind them after breaking up in 2013, but seeing them both at the ABS-CBN Ball 2025 brought back memories of their time together. The two first dated in 2013, broke up, then got back together in 2015, before breaking up again. JM later clarified that their final split was due to his struggle with drug relapse. Following their breakup, Jessy expressed that she has no bad blood with the actor.
Jessy arrived with her husband, Luis Manzano, while JM made a stylish solo entrance in a sharp white suit.
Now, Jessy is a loving mother to her and Luis' daughter, Rosie. They have been together for almost nine years now as a couple. But it was just in 2021 when they had an intimate civil wedding. JM, on the other hand, is dating vlogger-singer Donnalyn Bartolome. The latter confirmed her exclusive relationship with JM in June 2024.
JM de Guzman and Barbie Imperial
Okay, by now we all know that Barbie Imperial is Richard's potential partner and JM is presently also in a relationship. But did you know that Barbie and JM also dated in the past? We're sure you know, but let's just refresh our memories a bit, LOL.
It was short-lived, but it was quite talked about during their time. The two developed feelings for each other as they starred together in the teleserye, Araw Gabi in 2018. Unfortunately, after months of dating and trying to figure out their differences, the relationship just didn't work out for them. The two reportedly called it quits in 2019.
