AJ Raval recently clarified that she and Aljur Abrenica are not yet officially in a relationship.
On Instagram Stories, the 21-year-old actress responded to a series of questions from her followers on February 28, 2022, most of which were about her rumored boyfriend.
One netizen asked, "Kayo na ba ni Aljur?"
AJ said, "Sobrang cool lang namin ni Aljur. Masaya kami sa mga situation namin. May mga priorities at problema na dapat unahin." She added, "Huwag ka mag-alala, 'pag official na, updated ka."
Meanwhile, another follower asked, "Bakit si Aljur? Kahit nakakasira sa career mo at naging masama [ka pa] sa ibang tao dahil sa kanya?" The actress said that she doesn't care about what others think: "Hindi naman important sa'kin yung opinion ng ibang tao. Yung importante yung opinion ng mga tao na malapit sa'kin. Sana makita niyo si Aljur kung paano ko siya nakikita. Napakabuti ng puso ng tao na 'yon, kung paano niya mahalin ang anak niya, ang pamilya niya, kung paano siya tumingin sa ibang tao, pantay-pantay."
ICYMI, AJ and Aljur—who co-starred in a 2021 film Nerisa—were first spotted holding hands at a mall in October 2021. Later on, the actress confirmed that he was "courting" her. The news came following Aljur's split from his wife, Kylie Padilla in April 2021.
In another post, AJ opened up about how the controversy has affected her: "Nung una, naapektuhan ako pero wala na, naka move on na 'ko doon, eh. Ano pang gagawin ko? Masaya ako. Gagawin ko yung gusto ko. Buhay ko 'to."
