Back in 2011, Albie Casiño, then 18, was a rising teen star in ABS-CBN and even paired in a love team with Kathryn Bernardo. Things were looking up for his career until Andi Eigenmann's pregnancy was made public and Albie was said to be the father of her child. After a controversial and public paternity drama that lasted years, it was in 2016 when it was revealed that Jake Ejercito was the father of Andi’s firstborn and not Albie.

Now in 2021, Albie revisited the issue and spoke candidly with CinemasNews following his departure from Pinoy Big Brother. First off, he apologized for his previous statements about Andi gaining weight and said that he didn't mean to hurt people with his comments. He then talked about the screenshots that Andi's sister Stevie Eigenmann posted that showed Andi's apology to Albie, but Albie remained his stance that it was a non-apology and he deserved more than what she wrote to him.

Albie was then asked why he finds it hard to reconcile with Andi and he addressed it for the first time ever. "I understand na part na siya ng 'story' ko. It's a very big part of my story," he started. "So it's inevitable that I'll be asked about it but I just hope that people understand. Would you be happy about that if someone did that to you?"

He went on to reveal that he lost millions of pesos after being dropped from projects and endorsements when the scandal broke: "Let's take away all of the bashing, all of the defaming my name in public, even my family's name. They even went up to my mom all the while knowing I wasn't the dad. And then let's take that out of consideration. How about the fact that I lost millions of pesos worth of projects and endorsements from that? And it wasn't just a hundred thousand, bro. It's a million pesos worth of, I guess, 'damages' 'cause that's literally money that they took out of my bank account."

He continued, "That's money that could have changed my family's life. Money that could have changed my life, right? So how can I be okay with them? Why would I be okay with them?"

Albie closed it off by stressing that a public statement was never made by Andi's camp to clear his name when it was confirmed he wasn't the father of Andi's firstborn: "And first of all, you never made a public statement that I wasn't the dad. And you never made a public statement apologizing to me when everything you did to bash me was done publicly."
