Andi, being a proud mother, posted a video of Lilo on Instagram where she is seen battling the waves of Siargao with a surfboard. Despite the waves being larger than her, Lilo managed to balance and ride them, showcasing both courage and skill. This moment was particularly significant for Andi, who revealed that surfing has become a cherished part of their morning routine.
"Our 5 year old Lilo taking on bigger waves by the day. Always smiling amidst these wipeouts too," Andi captioned. "They choose to start most of their mornings this way. A surf sesh, skate sesh or just a nice walk outside with papa and the dogs. It's a good way to get her energized and in the mood for some kindergarten activities at home afterward," she added.
While many, including fellow moms and celebrities like Iya Villania and Miriam Quiambao, applauded Lilo's achievements, not everyone shared this positive outlook. Some critics questioned whether such activities were taking time away from Lilo's academic focus.
In response to these criticisms, Andi took to her Instagram Stories to address the concerns. "Someone somewhere on the internet told us to put her in school instead of letting her surf... she's doing both, and excelling in both, thanks very much," Andi stated, defending her approach to balancing her daughter's education and extracurricular activities.
