Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo's wedding will have to wait for now. And that's according to the bride herself.
Following the death of her mother, Jaclyn Jose, obviously, 2024 hasn't been a happy year for Andi. But she had been coping with her mother's loss with grace. Recently, she even received a posthumous Honorary Distinction for Jaclyn, granted by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
After the event, Andi openly welcomed questions from the press—and one topic that she addressed was her upcoming wedding with Philmar. Unfortunately, they decided to postpone the marriage ceremony to focus on some matters for a while.
"Honestly, we wanted to get married this year. But under these circumstances, we just decided to wait it out a bit," she told the media. Then Andi added, "Para kay Nanay sana 'yun."
While Andie is still mourning the passing of her mother, she expressed her willingness to move forward in life carrying the love and memories of Jaclyn. "I know she is proud, she loves me, and her grandchildren, so I will focus on the good things and my family," Andi declared.

Andi and Philmar got engaged in 2020—and their engagement photos are stunning! Andi shared the news on Instagram, describing it as an unexpected moment for her. Yet, it was everything she could hope for.
"I never thought about how my engagement would go because quite honestly, I didn't think I'd have one. It would've been ok regardless, but it did happen. And it happened the way I wanted it and so much more," she wrote.
The two started dating in 2018. They met at an awarding ceremony of a surfing competition in Siargao. There, Andi asked for a photo with Philmar. It turns out that Andi was really a fan of Philmar since she was into surfing already at the time. From then, they casually became friends until it turned into something more.
"I'm the one that made pa-picture... Nagpa-picture ako kasi fan talaga kami ng mga friends ko kasi we’re fans of surfing as a sport. [...] I think that's what made me more comfortable with Philmar. Just like me only getting to know him, it's the same for him because he didn't know anything about me," Andi shared in a vlog.
Andi and Philmar are both parents to two beautiful children, Lilo and Koa.
