News flash: Andrea Brillantes is done being silent, and we're so here for it! Case in point: The 20-year-old actress recently got interviewed by Vice Ganda for the latter's YouTube channel where she dished out some post-breakup revelations and realizations.
A quick refresher for the uninitiated: Andrea and basketball player Ricci Rivero broke up in early June 2023, with the 25-year-old athlete confirming this in a Twitter statement. While Andrea has mostly kept mum about the split, Ricci did his now-viral FTWBA interview where he noted that he was on good terms with the actress post-breakup. Andrea then claimed that the basketball player left out *important* details in his interview, like the fact that the girl she discovered in his condo was apparently naked.
Fast forward to a month after the split, and Andrea is happy and living her best life, as seen in her interview with Vice Ganda. When asked about how she usually is during breakups, the 20-year-old star replied, "Madalas po kasi nakaka-move on na ko in three to five business days."
But for this breakup, however, she noted: "In fairness sa kanya, nag-one month siya. One month akong nalungkot. At tsaka hinayaan ko talagang maging malungkot talaga ako. Sa one month na yun, parang lahat ng stages of [grief], naranasan ko... pero di ko nadaanan yung depression."
Vice Ganda also asked her if there was any "bawian" of gifts involved when Andrea and Ricci broke up. "Hindi," the Gen Z star revealed. "Sentimental po ako, eh."
She clarified: "Although yung isa, balak kong i-sangla. Kasi parang di ko na po nakikita yung sarili kong susuotin yun... Magkaka-pera pa ko dun. May pang-shopping pa ko, ba't ko isosoli sa kanya. Eh ang gagawin niya, ibibigay niya lang din naman sa iba yun." LOL!
For the things she gave her former beau, though, Andrea said that she didn't mind not getting them back. "Kasi alam niyo Meme, kapag kinuha ko kasi lahat ng binigay ko sa kanya, wala na siyang gamit sa condo niya." Oof.
When in comes to moving forward, Andrea only had wise words to say. "Dami ko na po kasi nang pinagdaanan sa life. Bakit ako mag-aano sa lalaki lang? There's so much more to life than just one boy." Well said!
She also had the *best* advice for people who might be having a hard time moving on from their ex. "Minsan, kung hirap ka mag-move on, kailangan mo talaga isipin yung mga bagay na, 'Talaga ba, iiyakan ko yung lalaki na 'di nagpapa-laundry ng isang taon?' Ganun," she shared.
