Facts first: Andrea Brillantes is definitely savoring every moment of her singlehood.

Andrea happily shared that she is going solo for the upcoming ABS-CBN Ball 2023. Without any partner or escort, the young actress is thrilled to walk down the red carpet alone on September 30.

"This is my first walk as a solo artist and not only a solo artist but as a single woman. It's my first-ever solo lang. Ako lang. Oncam, off cam ako lang," she told in an interview with Ganiel Krishnan.

"Ito 'yung time ko eh. Gusto ko magka-moment ako na ayoko nang i-share sa mga lalaki. Ayoko na," Andrea added.

She reminisced about her first ABS-CBN Ball experience back in 2019. Before, she attended the event together with her Kadenang Ginto love team and former boyfriend, Seth Fedelin.

"The last time, parang 16 pa lang ako noon. It wasn't really a great experience for me because I was super young. Nadala lang ako sa pressure, hindi pa ako sanay. That was my first red carpet. [...] I didn't have fun noon, kasi bagets lang talaga ako eh," she said.

Now, aside from going solo on the red carpet, Andrea is looking forward to the event without feeling any pressure, only excitement. "Hindi na pressured kundi excited na lang din to see all the ABS-CBN stars na matagal ko nang hindi nakikita."

Being called one of the faces of women empowerment, the 20-year-old star felt honored and appreciative of the recognition. She felt grateful for being seen as more than just a pabebe kid now.

"Parang ilang years din na tingin nila sakin I'm this pabebe kid because of my talk, my voice. Na-appreciate ako na nakikita nila na I'm more than just that. Masaya lang sa feeling na nare-recognize ako for a good thing," Andrea remarked.

Andrea sees her past relationships as something that influenced her strong pursuit of happiness as a single woman. For her, no one is more worthy of her time and effort than herself.

"I'm pretty sure napakalaking impact sa akin ng mga naging past relationships ko na talagang nare-realize ko na ayokong masayang mga efforts ko na dapat binibigay ko lang lahat sa sarili ko," she stated.

When asked if she considered attending the event together with her Senior High co-star and close friend Kyle Echarri, Andrea had one thing to say: "Ayaw naming mag-paasa."

Talking on behalf of Kyle, Andrea explained that they are not an onscreen love team and are just really close friends.

"We're not really a love team, we're just really close, and we enjoy each other's company. So ayaw naming maglakad din together kasi baka mas isipin pa ng tao na love team kami. Ayaw naming masaktan ang mga fans," the actress declared.

So to set the record straight, Andrea clarified that there is no one pursuing her at the moment—and she's not dating anyone in the near future. "I'm very much single and happy," said the young actress.

In other news, Andrea just came back from attending Milan Fashion Week. ICYDK, Andrea even did her own makeup for the famous fashion week!
