When we meet big stars, we often file that interaction under memories that we won't forget. What more if a Hollywood star invited you over for dinner? It may just be a hypothetical question we're throwing out there but for Andrea del Rosario it was once her reality.
In an episode of Lutong Bahay hosted by Mikee Quintos, Andrea shared one fond memory about her rejecting a celebrity. She was first asked about the name of one celebrity that she had to turn down in the past. The actress immediately responded with the name, "Vin Diesel."
Mikee was obviously surprised by Andrea's answer. Meanwhile, the 47-year-old actress did not flinch after Mikee's shock as she seemed to not believe that Andrea and the famous Hollywood star were a thing back then. "Really, really?" Mikee uttered.
Enthusiastically, Andrea confessed that it wasn't anything romantic—but she really had to turn down Vin's invitation sometime in the past. Although she did not specify the year, Andrea recalled meeting Vin a couple of times in bars and even at his house in the United States. "Na-meet ko siya kasi, di ba, when you go to mga bars, di ba, may lumapit sa akin mga bodyguard niya, sabi, 'Hey, you know, he [Vin] wants to meet you."
She continued narrating, "In-invite niya kami na pumunta sa house party niya. Ganun ko siya na-meet. So, we went to his house, we went there several times, nagkaroon sila ng mga house parties, ganun. And then siyempre minsan may mga kuwentuhan kami, moments-moments, ganyan. Ayun na yun. And then, kinailangan ko na umuwi sa Philippines."
Andrea del Rosario's career
Andrea rose to fame after joining the iconic girl group Viva Hot Babes in 2003. From then, Andrea took part in some of the song releases of the group including the pop culture reset that was "Bulaklak."
Through the years, Andrea has been part of top-caliber series. At present, she starred in TV5's teleserye, Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa together with Sarah Lahbati. Andrea also has a thriller film entitled Nanay Tatay.
