Andres Muhlach might have a leg up in showbiz thanks to his famous parents Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, but he’s eager to make a name on his own.
He’s set to follow his ‘rents footsteps soon—literally alongside them, no less! Yesterday, January 27, Andres officially marked his entry into the showbiz industry as he signed a contract with Manny V. Pangilinan, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of MVP Group of Companies and Vic del Rosario, chairman and CEO of Viva Communications.

He signed the contract with his parents and twin sister Atasha, who is already making waves as a noontime show TV host. Andres’ first project is reportedly a sitcom with his family, though details of the show have yet to be fleshed out.
It’s no secret that Andres lived a life away from the limelight growing up, so he was asked about sacrificing his privacy to pursue a showbiz career. To which, he shared his thoughts. “I am definitely ready to give up a lot of my private time for work. Okay? I just wanna work po. So any opportunity, I’ll really take it,” he said.
He’s solely focused on his career now, as evidenced by his prior interview where he shared that he has no love life yet at 22.
Having studied in Spain, he was asked if he preferred to date a foreigner than a Filipina. The budding young actor replied, “It doesn’t matter where they’re from. It depends on their personality ifI get to know them better.” He says he’s into “someone that [I] just enjoy talking to and spending time with”, and someone who “will make [me] laugh.”
We’re rooting for you, Andres! Congratulations.
