Give us a minute (or five) to recover from one of the best Golden Globes moments of last night. Yes, there was Ryan Gosling’s ode to his partner Eva Mendes and Meryl Streep’s passionate speech against US President-elect Donald Trump. But the one tiny moment that we all might have missed was something that was nearly unseen by most viewers.
As Emma Stone was called up to deliver her acceptance speech for winning Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for La La Land (YAAAAAS GIRL!!!), a lone man standing from his table could be seen clapping and cheering her on as she rose up the steps. Yup, it’s none other than Emma’s ex-boyfriend, Andrew Garfield.
We cry.

Yes, that’s him.

Ah, love. Sometimes, it’s best to cheer for your ex from the sidelines. 3
