It's been a while since we last saw Angelina Jolie doing an action-thriller movie, and we're in for a treat.
Angelina stars in Warner Bros. Pictures' Those Who Wish Me Dead, a film based on a book by Michael Koryta. She plays "Hannah, a smoke jumper still reeling from the loss of three lives she failed to save from a fire when she comes across a traumatized 12-year-old boy with nowhere else to turn."
The movie also stars Nicholas Hoult (Beast/Hank McCoy in X-Men), Finn Little, Aiden Gillen (Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish in Game Of Thrones), Medina Senghore, Tyler Perry (Gone Girl), Jake Weber, and Jon Bernthal. It hits theaters internationally and streams on HBO Max beginning May 7, 2021.
Angelina's last few movies include the fantasy film Come Away in 2020, and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, in 2019. We'll also see her in the upcoming Disney superhero film Eternals, where she plays Thena, a warrior who can create any weapon using cosmic energy. The movie takes place after a tragedy following the events in Avengers: Endgame. The project's release has been delayed due to the pandemic. It's currently slated to hit cinemas in November 2021.
