Angeline Quinto Confirms Pregnancy: 'Magiging nanay na rin ako'

Angeline Quinto has confirmed her pregnancy through an interview with Boy Abunda in his vlog The Purple Chair Interview uploaded on December 10.

"Magiging nanay na rin ako," was what Angeline had to say as she confirmed the news. The singer shared that she found out she was pregnant in September 2021 and confirmed that she's due to give birth in April 2022. 

According to Angeline, the father of the child is her non-showbiz boyfriend whom she met last year. When Tito Boy asked how Angeline knew he was "the one," the singer had this to say: "Tito Boy, ganoon pala 'yon. Parang, alam mo na agad. Matagal na rin po ako hindi nagkakaroon ng relationship. Nagkakilala kami bago pa mag-pandemic. So before pa nawala si Mama, nakilala na niya si Mama Bob."

"Para sa akin naman, bago pumasok sa isang relasyon, meron kang makikitang mga bagay na komplikado, e. Pero tinanggap ko po kahit alam ko may mga komplikado sa kanya," Angeline added.

Angeline, who didn't want to reveal the name of her boyfriend, said that what she liked about her partner is that he fully disclosed his situation that he also has a child from a previous relationship. Apart from this, the Kapamilya star said that he treats her with respect and that he's completely honest about his past.

Tito Boy then asked about what the best thing about her boyfriend, and Angeline said, "Ang dami kasing bagay sa buhay ko na naiintindihan niya ako kahit hindi kami pareho ng trabaho. 'Pag nakakausap ko naman siya, alam kong merong taong pagkakatiwalaan mo na nakikinig sa lahat."

Angeline also revealed that since her Mama Bob passed away, her boyfriend would tell her, "Huwag daw ako mag-alala kasi nandiyan naman siya. Alam niya kasi kung sino si Mama Bob sa buhay ko. Hindi man daw niya mapantayan yung pagmamahal ng Mama ko, kahit pangalawa lang."

Boy also asked Angeline what it was like the moment she found out she was pregnant. Angeline admitted that she was scared at first and didn't even know how to read the results of her pregnancy test. She said, "Ang tagal ko sa CR noon. Hindi ako makalabas tapos iniisip ko lang sino ang unang sasabihan ko. Wala akong masabihan sa bahay kasi natatakot ako."

Angeline revealed that she was afraid to speak up because of the nature of her work and how she would tell people she worked with. She eventually ended up telling her manager who assured her she shouldn't be afraid of her situation as a baby is a very big blessing. 

Angeline expressed her excitement about being a first-time mom. "Excited na excited ako sa totoo lang. Ngayon lang din ako naging excited sa buong buhay ko. Minsan, syempre, hindi naman mawawala sa iniisip ko kung paano maging nanay. 'Yon yung habang buhay ko babaunin yung mga natutunan ko kay Mama."
