Being recognized is an achievement in itself, but being celebrated worldwide and honored with a monument commemorating your talent and influence is on a whole different level! Anne Curtis couldn't be prouder after announcing that she has become the first Filipino actress to have her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds, featured in the "Hong Kong Glamour Zone"!
Other Filipinos who have their own Madame Tussauds figure include Lea Salonga (who was the first FIlipina actress to have her own!), Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray, and Manny Pacquiao.

"This was a dream come true for me! It’s about time that Filipinos were able to introduce themselves worldwide across different fields. I’m thankful that Madame Tussauds Hong Kong chose me to show that Pinoy talent is world-class," Anne announced during the unveiling of the wax figure on November 27.
The wax figure, an exact replica of Anne, is wearing a sleeveless Dior dress cinched at the waist with a ribbon. It’s accessorized with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including a key-shaped Lock necklace—identical to one Anne has worn herself! Holding a microphone, the figure symbolizes one of the "powerful tools" Anne credits with jump-starting her career.
"We wanted something that would be timeless and true to who I am. This was also the first look that I had when I had just stepped back into the fashion industry," Anne shared. "The microphone also became such a powerful tool for me in my 27 years in the industry—hosting, speaking about my advocacies, and even doing concerts! I’m happy it became a part of my wax figure to inspire people to pursue their dreams," she added.

Anne truly deserves this recognition. She has been in showbiz for 27 years, winning two FAMAS Awards, two Metro Manila Film Festival Awards, a Luna Award, and four Box Office Entertainment Awards— among other awards too many to mention! Even older generations know her name, making her a true icon in Filipino TV and entertainment.
Anne Curtis Iconic Madame Tussauds Wax Figure: ‘A Filipino Representation’
Bobo Yu, Head of Sales and Marketing at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, shared the same excitement with fans worldwide. She expressed that working with Anne was a privilege, highlighting her significant influence and impact.
"It was so great to work with Anne throughout the entire process of creating this. We’re very proud to have her as the first-ever Filpino actress and host in our attraction," Bobo shared.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph, Bobo revealed that Anne was chosen for the wax figure due to her remarkable impact and widespread influence, which stood out during their market research.
"Apart from the remarkable recognition, I'm sure we also need to see her impactful, especially when any influence to the society and the community as well," Bobo said.
It was in December 1 last year that Madame Tussauds Official Instagram page shared the news that Anne Curtis will be joining the roster of iconic figures.

"So she's the one because a lot of the younger generation also know her very well. Even when, like, I go to the shopping mall and turn on the TV, I also see her everywhere," she added.
Anne Curtis' wax figure will be the first Filipino representation displayed alongside global icons like Chris Hemsworth, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Elon Musk, and Lady Gaga. Fans can see it at the Hong Kong Glamour Zone in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong starting December 9, 2024.
Bobo confirmed that this won’t be the last time a Filipino icon will be featured at Madame Tussauds. She mentioned that they just need to conduct more research and will make an announcement once they’ve chosen the right one.
