In showbiz, there's a certain stereotype when it comes to celebrity couples. Essentially, it's that their relationships don't tend to last very long. Sadly and way too often, infamous cheating allegations concerning these high-profile relationships got us questioning if true love exists. However, that’s not the case for those who are currently in happy long-term relationships, providing reassurance that romance is not dead.

A good example of the latter is power couple Troy Montero and Aubrey Miles, who have been together for nearly two decades now. Despite being the epitome of relationship goals, they confessed that their love story hasn’t always been smooth sailing, especially at the start. In fact, Aubrey shared that she had her own jealousy phase as well, even reaching the point where her emotions would be the cause of their big fights.

"Dati, mga first three years namin ang gulo, parang war. 3 to 6 years, di pa kami live-in non. May selosan pa kasi. Mga selosan stage," she revealed in an interview with Boy Abunda.
She was then asked to share one memory where her jealousy got the best of her. “Back then, naaano ako e. Meron talaga, mga ganun. Talagang aanuhin ko yung girl. Alam na niya eh, kung alam na niya eye to eye merong intention at defensive siya agad, alam kong may ginagawa siya. Alam niya agad, e. Sabi ko, 'Hello.' Sabi niya, 'I'm doing nothing.'"
She detailed one instance where it got chaotic in Boracay. "Ganun din. Tulakan. May mga celebrity pa neto. Nakatalikod sila. Pumasok ako sa gitna, 'Excuse me, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna leave.' Sabi nito, 'Wait, I’m buying her a drink.' Eh di kasi ako umiinom nung time na nakilala ko siya, parang bored na bored siya saken. Eh yung girl, 'Oh, I’m not doing anything, he’s just buying me a drink.'"
"Tapos sabi ko, 'Oh what? Are we leaving or not?' Sabi niya, 'I'm not leaving, go to our room.'"
"Pina-feel ko sa buong tao. Walk out ako. Tas may mga kakilala pa tayong friends, sabi nila, 'Are you okay? Troy, Troy!' Sinundan ako, may sampalan. Sa gitna ng Boracay, rumorolyo. Tulakan!"
She clarified that recounting such experiences isn’t really a big deal now, especially since they’ve gotten past it all. "If [Troy says] I’m jealous, di ako nagagalit, siguro kasi matagal na yun. Iba talaga. Pagdating ng ten years, iba yung level ng love, patience mo, understanding. Experience talaga eh."
