Barbie Proves "The Seven-Year-Itch" Wrong
Barbie is this week's guest on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda. Aside from talking about the joys of working with her Pulang Araw co-stars David Licauco, Alden Richards, and Sanya Lopez, she also gets into some relationship questions with Boy Abunda.
"Seven years. Seven-year itch, naniniwala ka?" asked Boy, noting how long Barbie and Jak have been a couple.
"Hindi po. And napatunayan ko rin naman," answered Barbie. "Ang malaking factor po kasi na ang mature mag-handle ng relationship ni Jak."
She gives credit to how Jak brings balance to their partnership. "So, yung ugali ko na-tolerate niya. Ako, feeling ko kasi, mayroon along pagka-alpha so parang pagdating sa relationship namin, napapatiklop ako nung Jak eh. Hindi ko alam kung bakit."
Barbie explained further, "Kasi kapag mayroon kaming matter na pinag-uusapan tapos parang as an alpha feeling ko lagi tama ako tapos bigla niya akong kakalmahin muna. Hindi 'yung niya sasabayan niya 'yung level ng emotion ko. Kakalmahin niya muna ako and then i-po-point out niya yung gustong niyang sabihin. Tapos ma-re-realize ko, 'Ay, oo nga noh.'
Jak Celebrates "BarDa" And Sends Wedding Videos
An intriguing factor in Barbie's relationship is how Jak takes the success of her love team with David, aka "BarDa."
Barbie said, "He really took it lightly. He was very proud of me, very happy for me." She even mentions how Jak makes it a point to celebrate Barbie and David's achievements every time. "Very secure siya sa sarili niya na he lets his woman shine. Kahit not with him."
Green flags are everywhere!
"BarDa" may be going strong, but it won't eclipse IRL love. Barbie confirms that she and Jak talk about engagement and walking down the aisle.
"Kinikilig nga ako pag nag-se-send siya sa aking ng mga parang wedding video sa Instagram. Kasi parang sabi ko, 'Ah, okay, so pumapasok sa isip niya.' Tas sine-send niya sa akin so gusto niya na he wants to get involved in that area. Kasi di po ba ang mga boys ayaw nila yung nag-pla-plan ng wedding, di ba? So may ganun siya."
