The Little Details You'll Love At The Barbie Film Set
It was a lot of pink
Director Greta Garwig points out that deliberation on which shades of pink to choose was an ~intense~ process. In the end, they've chose pale pink as their "white" and Barbie hot pink as the stronger shade.

The interiors are mostly '50s to '60s inspired
The Barbie doll was first introduced in 1959 and most iconic Barbie houses were manufactured between '50s and '60s. Fun fact: Barbie dolls used to be made in the Philippines!

There is no water in Barbieland
Margot shared that in Barbieland, the elements don't exist. These are all fake: pool, shower, stove, and fridge. These spots all look so cute tho!

Her closet is magical
You know how you get excited opening a new blister package of Barbie clothes? That's how it looks like on set! It's like Clueless meets Barbie. Fun fact: All of the clothes are from Chanel because Margot is the fashion house's brand ambassador.

Skipper's treehouse is a heritage site
Skipper doll had a treehouse and the producers insisted it be included in the film. The replica just brings back so many memories, and declaring it as a "heritage site" in the movie was the right decision.
