Attention, pageant fans! The Miss Globe competition is set to take place on October 15 in Tirana, Albania! Ahead of the competition, Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022 Chelsea Fernandez took to Instagram and asked for prayers as she competes for the crown.
Posted on October 15, Chelsea wrote, "Today is the big day! Time flies but I am extremely grateful and happy for all the new experiences, friendships, and family found here in Albania."
"A few hours from now will be the grand coronation of @themissglobe 2022 and I am forever THANKFUL for all the support you have given me," Chelsea continued. "I will forever cherish this moment that once in my life, I wear the country's sash, and I am proud to take this journey with each [one] of you."
Chelsea asked pageant fans for prayers so that she does well in the competition. She added, "Please continue to pray for me. Hanggang dulo, Pilipinas, ipaglalaban kita."
Binibining Pilipinas also showed their support for Chelsea as they shared a note from Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. Chairperson Stella Marquez Araneta. Part of her message reads, "I feel your passion when you said that a back-to-back win is not impossible."
Chelsea is already making waves in the competition where she recently won the "Head-to-Head Challenge."
Chelsea is gunning for a back-to-back win for the Philippines at this year's The Miss Globe. Last year, Filipino-American beauty queen Maureen Montagne won The Miss Globe 2021 in Albania and is back in the country to crown her successor.
