The Philippines’ bet for the Miss Grand International competition, Samantha Lo, did not take home the crown at the recently-concluded pageant held on October 25 in Caracas, Venezuela.
According to a report, Samantha did not get into the top 20 finalists of the competition. The 26-year-old nursing graduate who hails from Cebu wore a Tausug-inspired national costume designed by Edwin Uy.
The winners of the 2019 Miss Grand International are Venezuela, followed by Mexico as the first runner-up, Thailand as the second-runner up, Panama as the third runner-up, and Brazil as the fourth runner-up.
Samantha promised to bring home the crown following news that she got deported in France as she was en route to Venezuela over an issue on her passport. The Department of Foreign Affairs also said that they did not have a record of Samantha in their passport database.
