Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana are thrilled to make their *first-ever* teleserye together.
The two A-lister actresses of GMA Network were confirmed to lead a new murder mystery teleserye called Widow's War. And it's no secret that the two have dreamed of being cast together in one project.

In a February 2023 vlog, Bea openly told her viewers that she had long wished to work with Carla. "Matagal ko na rin siyang gustong makatrabaho. So nananawagan kami sa GMA, please give us a project together," Bea proclaimed. Right then and there, Carla also agreed and called out for their home network to consider casting them in one series.
Almost a year after, Bea and Carla's manifesting worked! The two actresses expressed their excitement and delight over their upcoming project on Instagram. Bea wrote in a post, "We had a story con for our new series, "Widow’s War," yesterday. I’m excited to explore a different genre on TV... And I’m happy that I’ll finally be able to work with @carlaangeline and @zigcarlo!"

An ecstatic Carla responded to Bea's post saying, "A surreal and wonderful blessing for me to be working with you, Bea. I still can’t believe this is happening."
Their fellow celebrities were also happy and looking forward to their first tie-up as co-stars. In an announcement last January 24, 2024, joining them for a star-studded lineup of actors in the drama are Jean Garcia, Jackie Lou Blanco, Tonton Gutierrez, Mark Herras, Rita Daniela, and more.
Their series will be directed by the critically acclaimed Zig Dulay, who was also behind the highly-successful Maria Clara at Ibarra.
