Sorry to say, Popoy-Basha shippers, but John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo are NOT dating.
After breaking up with their respective long-time lovers early this year, rumors of a JLC-Bea romance swirled in the showbiz scene. And, tbh, we all wished it was true!
But the Kapamilya actress sets the record straight about her relationship with her onscreen partner: they are only friends.
Speaking with ABS-CBN, Bea says, “Magkaibigan naman talaga kami ni John Lloyd. I mean, we've been working together for so many years.”
I know, I know. Some hearts here are definitely crushed.
Oh, and as for that infamous romantic Balesin getaway, you ask? Well, Bea says she was never there. In fact, Bea was in a totally different island when the news broke AND not even with Lloydie:
“I was in Amanpulo with my brother and the girlfriend of my brother. Actually I was asked—nakakatawa 'yung mga kaibigan ko [kasi] tinatanong nila ako.”
Well, that settles things.
