Beauty Gonzalez is set to make a mark on the international scene after being confirmed as the lead actress in the horror-thriller film, In My Mother's Skin.

The movie, directed by Kenneth Lim Dagatan, is a co-production between film outfits from the Philippines (Epicmedia Productions), Singapore (Zhao Wei films and Clover Films), and Taiwan (Volos Films). ICYDK, Clover Films is the Asian distributor of hit South Korean movies Train To Busan and Parasite. In My Mother's Skin is set to start filming in mid-June.

According to the entertainment news site Screen Daily, the film is about "a girl who trusts a flesh-eating fairy to save her dying mother when they are left behind in an isolated mansion, near the end of the Second World War."

Beauty will be joined by other Filipina actresses such as Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Angeli Bayani, and Felicity Kyle Napuli

Beauty officially joined the Kapuso network in June 2021. Prior to her move, she last appeared in ABS-CBN's teleserye, Kadenang Gintoand TV5's rom-com, I Got You.
