For most people, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's breakup is the end of an era. For some, it brought out heartbreaking realizations about love.
Bela Padilla posted about her realizations that embodied how "mapanakit" life and love can be. For her, some people are just not meant to stay in our lives, and it's something we should all accept. It's the sad truth, you guys.
In a tweet, she wrote, "I think the most painful part is realizing a person was just meant to pass through one's life. Never to stay, never to stay."
She also encouraged everyone to remain kind amid the grueling speculations surrounding KathNiel's breakup. "…for us who watched them grow up together, acceptance and kindness in everything we say or do," Bela, who is related to Daniel, said in a tweet.
Her statement comes after Kathryn and Daniel confirmed they have gone their separate ways after 11 years. It's an incredibly long amount of time of togetherness for the couple. Coming from their teenage years, Kath and Daniel shared remarkable moments together that no controversy could take away from them.
Kath and Daniel have been intrigued about their views on marriage already. With them taking on more mature roles and solo projects, fans could not help but wonder if the two were also talking about tying the knot. Besides, they are technically of marrying age as they are less than three years away from their 30s.
In 2022, Daniel admitted his preparedness to marry Kath. He revealed that they have talked about tying the knot since they were teenagers. "Ready na ako. Dati pa naman, 16 at 17 years old pa lang kami, pinag-uusapan na namin ‘yan. Now, we’re here," the actor once said.
This year, Kath expressed that she's not fully ready to take the next big step in their relationship, which is marriage—and Daniel respects it, she said. The award-winning actress noted that they did have a shared understanding that being in their prime years meant focusing more on their career and other plans in life.
"Kasi ngayon, andito kami sa peak namin ni DJ na kailangan namin magtrabaho. Especially [since] may bahay na pinagawa, maraming gastos, and then parang alam din namin sa sarili namin na...hindi pa, hindi pa time...he respects my timing din... Importante, masaya kayo ngayon, tapos take it day by day," Kath explained.
Sadly, now, KathNiel isn't eyeing marriage or any other future plans together. They have built their dreams and lives together for 11 years. But the time has come for them to part just like normal people who are only meant to pass by each others' lives.
