Marriage—for most long-term couples—is something people look forward to. It might be a little bit intrusive, but everyone tends to be curious about when a couple is settling down, especially celebrities. Of course, Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid are among those couples who have long left fans intrigued about their future plans together.
At this point in their relationship, Bianca discloses that they have always been planning to take their relationship to the next level by getting married. "Sa totoo lang, sa mga nagtatanong kung nasa plano na ba namin ang proposal, opo, nasa plano at napag-uusapan," Bianca admitted to PEP.ph during the Preview Ball 2024. After six years of being together, Bianca and Ruru describe each other as their respective "The One."
Now, the question is: when? Although they are sure of each other and going on a steady path as a couple, Bianca noted that there are a lot of things to consider and to still explore in their own lives.
For Bianca, they're content with having each other as they focus on their respective careers too. "Pero siyempre, sa ngayon, kung nasan kami sa mga career namin ay gusto naming i-maximize ang individualities namin ngayon. Of course, nandiyan ang pangako namin sa isa't isa. We will see kung ano ang mangyayari sa susunod na yugto ng mga buhay namin," the 24-year-old actress stated.
True enough, the two have been out and about in their journey as actors. Bianca has so many amazing projects lined up for her like her Encantadia spin-off role, and another new movie coming up for her called, Danggo. The couple confirmed their relationship status in 2022. But their revelation wasn't about the start of their romance. Instead, they admitted their already four-year relationship at the time.
It was Ruru who divulged the truth during an interview with Jessica Soho. "Dahil kayo po ang nagtanong, Ma'am Jess, this is the first time na sasagutin ko po ito. Ramdam po namin ang suporta ng isa't isa," the Lolong actor remarked.

ICYDK, Bianca has been having fun being a judge in one of It's Showtime's segments called, KalokaLike. Actually, in one of the episodes, a contestant posing as Ruru joined the segment. Since Bianca was a guest judge, they played along with the KalokaLike contestant.
The hosts of It's Showtime asked the Ruru KalokaLike about the name of the girl Bianca has been jealous of. For some reason, the contestant answered, "Gabbi." It should've been an empty answer, if not for the shocked face of Bianca! She was flustered about the answer. Add that to the fact that It's Showtime host Kim Chiu mentioned on-air the name of another Kapuso actress (IYKYK)—as if she didn't already get the whole point of Bianca slightly panicking.
In Bianca's conversation with PEP.ph last September 6, she actually noted that viewers who watched the mentioned episode above would be wise enough to not create any issue. Bianca also touched on the topic of being the jealous kind of girlfriend. Is she selosa? Jealousy should be normal among couples, Bianca says. After all, we are humans and there's nothing we can do if we feel the urge to be selosa with our boyfies.
"Di ko naman itatanggi 'yun.. Tao lang naman tayo, eh. 'Di maaalis na nakakaramdam tayo ng selos, makakaramdam tayo ng tampo," she first said. But in her defense, she doesn't get excessively jealous. "I guess, 'yung pagiging selosa ko, masasabi kong nasa lugar. Alam ko kung kailan ako dapat magselos, alam ko kung kailan hindi," Bianca claimed.
Besides, she and Ruru have always been open about everything with each other. "Sa relationship namin ni Ruru, alam namin yung tamang pag-handle [ng selos]. Parehas kaming masasabi namin na, 'Mahal, medyo di ako kumportable,' pag nagtatanong kami [ng pakiramdam ng isa't isa]. Ang goal namin sa relationship namin is to be always honest and transparent with each other," the actress disclosed.
