Everybody loves BINI Mikha. She sings well, she's a powerful dancer, and of course, she's undeniably beautiful—even Bimby Aquino says so! Yup, you read that right, the son of the Philippines' Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, thinks Mikha's visuals are something to admire. Add to that the fact that he actually gushed over when someone thought they looked good together!
In a vlog by TV personality, Darla Sauler, she went to the U.S. to reunite with the Aquino family. They bonded over food—specifically with Bimby cooking spaghetti that they paired with a wholesome and fun conversation. They touched on a lot of topics and can we just say?? Bimby appears to be an upcoming interviewer in his own right. He asks the right questions and expresses his sentiments very well.
"Alam niyo po, Darla's trying to set me up with someone eh," he said. Bimby's remark became the cue for their sweet convo about Mikha to begin. "Kasi crush mo 'yun eh," Darla responded—which got Bimby to cheerfully comment, "Naku hindi!" Then came the namedrop from Darla, "Crush mo si BINI Mikha." And even though Bimby gave a hearty laugh at Darla teasing him about Mikha, he later on explained his side.
"The pamangkins of my Tito Michael, that's [BINI] their favorite group. Tapos sabi nila, 'Kuya Bimby, you and BINI Mikha are bagay,'" he recalled before bursting into laughter.
Darla noticed Bimby's laughter and teased him once again, "Kinikilig ka." It's normal to deny it when someone's teasing you about your kilig feels over someone. But with Bimby, he admitted it right then and there. Or at least, he was just sincere and honest—which is really nice of him.
"Of course! She's a very beautiful girl," Bimby told Darla, without hesitation. Although Bimby and Mikha do not have a solo pic together just yet, Darla shared a photo of Bimby with all the BINI members. It was during ASAP Natin 'To in California on August 2024. Bimby dropped by the event to surprise Darla and had the chance to also meet with some ABS-CBN executives.
Is Bimby Aquino joining showbiz?
The two also talked about the rumors that Bimby is officially joining showbiz. Rumors sparked after Kris herself told Cristine Calawod, a Cornerstone Entertainment staff, that Bimby might start working already to help pay for medical bills. As we all know, Kris is battling an autoimmune disease and has been in the States to receive treatment.
"Bimb might go home after my birthday. He needs to work because my medical bills are already getting higher and higher," she said in an Instagram comment. Kris even declared that Bimb would stay as Bimb for his screen name. "He'll stay as Bimb. No last name, like Drake."
Darla asked Bimby himself about the talked-about showbiz plans. "Mag-aartista ka na daw?" she asked the 17-year-old Aquino. "I don't know..." Bimby quickly said. "Ano, everything has its own time and place talaga."
The vlog was posted a day before Kris officially announced that they were going home to the Philippines after more than two years of treatment in the U.S. Kris wrote in an Instagram post that her planned trip back to the Philippines is still so she can get more treatment.
