BINI is the newest ambassador for the Filipino clothing brand, Penshoppe—and we are so stoked about this collaboration!
Penshoppe launched the partnership with the eight-member girl group on October 16, 2024, at The Fifth Rockwell, highlighting the theme, "Be Your ICON." Attended by fellow Penshoppe ambassadors like Julia Barretto, Cassy Legaspi, Darren Espanto, and more, the event was filled with stylish fits and an iconic performance by the members, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
BINI members expressed how honored they are to be chosen as the newest endorser for the brand, which has been a staple for most Filipinos. Jhoanna talked about how they all grew up with Penshoppe, making it really close to their hearts. "Growing up, ito 'yung kinalakihan naming brand. Actually almost lahat ng brands, parang sila din 'yung nagpalaki, childhood. We also love supporting na parang nag-aalign sa branding ng BINI na comfortable yet stylish and makukuha mo 'yun both sa Penshoppe," Jhoanna said in an interview we had after their performance.

In addition to growing up with the brand, BINI affirms how their style aligns with Penshoppe's. Asked about their styles, Mikha illustrated how their stylist, Ica Villanueva helped with the "experimentation," factoring in their preferences, body types, etc. "We went through a lot of experiments, Ate Ica, our stylist has been our stylist I think since the first year of us being BINI. So parang through her na rin, she was trying to figure out our style. From then on, 'dun kami nag-experiment [with] what we're comfortable with, what we prefer, what looks best for our body types kasi iba-iba naman kami ng body types," Mikha explained.
Maloi chimes in while noting that Penshoppe actually aligns with her preferences, which is to mix unique and basic suits. "Very experimental ako eh [on style]. Gusto ko 'yung something unique, kaya I really wanna go to ukay-ukay palagi kasi nandun 'yung mga very unconventional na style. Hindi mo makikita usually. And gusto ko Penshoppe, kasi parang nagmi-mix very unique and basic," the coquette girly of the group stated.
Mikha added, "Basic like Penshoppe but also amazing at the same time. Timeless."

BINI's core memory with Penshoppe
It was a full day for the ladies at the time, but they still had the bright energy which was enough for our conversation to keep going. There, they also shared their "core memory" with Penshoppe. Since they mostly grew up using the brand, they had some fun stories of how Penshoppe shaped their youth.
For instance, their youngest member, Sheena recalled how she would find comfort and that right amount of attitude because of Penshoppe's shirts. "Core memory with Penshoppe: Kapag high school ka may P.E. ganyan-ganyan, so favorite ko siyempre sayaw-sayaw, so gusto ko maangas 'yung top ko," she began saying.
Sheena continued to describe her go-to 'fit at the time: an oversized shirt over some high-waist pants! She enthusiastically narrated, "Sa school, nagch-change talaga ako pag wala na 'yung teacher. 'Yung binibili ko XXL, oversized na t-shirt, alam niyo 'yung shirt tapos naka-tuck in sa high waist. Sobrang angas ko na 'nun. Ayun po 'yung favorite ko, sobrang dami kong shirt from Penshoppe."
Colet, for one, also talked about how Penshopee has been one of the staple brands for not only them but also their peers back in school. Colet recounted how Christmas parties would mean some kind of fashion show of students donning their best Penshoppe 'fits. "'Pag Christmas party, pagandahan ng Penshoppe na suot. Kasi sa'min dati, 'pag naka-Penshoppe ka, dito ka [gesturing a high position] famous ka," the girl group's main vocal remarked.
Aside from launching their "ICONIC" Collection, BINI graced the event with a powerful stage featuring their newest song, "Icon," in collaboration with Penshoppe. Give it a listen here!
