As a fan, nothing might be more fulfilling than to see your idol happy and pursuing things that fuel them and their dreams. That's what I feel when I see the members of BLACKPINK further their careers by doing their own thing. While a group comeback is highly anticipated and their union very missed, seeing them shine individually as they have each other's backs is truly exciting.
And in case you're not caught up, we're here to give you an update on what Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa are doing before their reported big 2025 comeback that was announced by YG's founder and owner Yang Hyunsuk a while back.

What the BLACKPINK members are up to in 2025
BLACKPINK’s members are booked and busy with solo pursuits as 2025 kicks off. With teasers and announcements dropping left and right, OT4 fans have plenty to tide them over until the group's much-awaited comeback. Here's what the girls are up to.
Jennie
Jennie just shared that she'll be making a comeback with her first studio album titled Ruby. The announcement follows an initial teaser Jennie made when she posted a photo of a ruby-red background with the caption, "coming soon for you all." Fans immediately speculated in the comments section that The Idol star was teasing new music and turns out, they were correct!

Jennie shared a post that reads, "My first studio album coming soon. Ruby. March 7th." The video included the acts to be featured on her record, which is star-studded, btw! The list includes Dua Lipa, with whom she has already collaborated with prior through the British-Albanian singer's song "Kiss and Make Up" which featured BLACKPINK.

Rosé
Following the release of her debut album Rosie, which included the mega-hit song "APT" featuring Bruno Mars and "Toxic till the End," with a music video that starred Fil-Am actor Evan Mock. Since its release, Rosé has been busy with interviews and performances. Now, in true Rosé fashion, she's back with another surprise through her Skims Valentine's campaign that left everybody gagged. Rosé took to Instagram to share the unexpected (yet very giving) collaboration.
The collection of Valentine's-themed intimates, sleepwear, and loungewear will be ready to shop on January 23, 12 p.m. ET.

Lisa
For the BLINKs and Lillies who are also foodies, Lisa just cooked up the collaboration that they'll truly enjoy. Teaming up with Erewhon, an upscale supermarket chain in Los Angeles, California, Lisa is bringing a taste of Thai culture to the forefront with her "Thai Up The World" drink.

On Instagram, Lisa shared the news about the partnership and even showed how to make her organic reimagination of the famous Thai tea. (International fans can't go to Erewhon themselves can do their twist on the drink!) Lisa and Erewhon's collaboration also supports Best Friend Animal Society, which is a sanctuary working to find homes for abandoned pets.

Apart from that, Lisa is also slated to join the latest season of the HBO hit show The White Lotus and is coming out with her debut studio album, Alter Ego, on February 28.

Jisoo
Meanwhile, Jisoo, who celebrated her birthday on January 3, is back in her actress era this 2025 with the Coupang Play original series, Newtopia. In Jisoo's highly anticipated drama comeback, the idol-actress plays Kang Youngjoo, an engineer who breaks up with her boyfriend Lee Jaeyoon (played by Park Jeongmin) who's in the middle of his mandatory military service.
However, in a random and unfortunate turn of events that very same day, a zombie outbreak spread and the recently split couple is now doing anything and everything in their power to find each other. While the series will be available to watch on Coupang Play in South Korea, Amazon Prime will be releasing the series in over 240 regions.

The new drama, which is based on the novel Influenza by Han Sangwoon will premiere on February 7, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. KST (so that's 7:00 p.m. in Filipino time.)
Apart from that, Jisoo also surprised her fans with a teaser for something that will be released on February 14. While no specifics have been shared about this by Jisoo and her management Blissoo, fans speculate that Jisoo is finally coming back with new solo music after two years.
