BTS' Jin just celebrated his 29th birthday on December 4, and he had a special surprise for his fans.
The K-pop star dropped a super cute and funny performance video for his "trot" birthday song, entitled, "Super Tuna." ICYDK, "trot" is a genre of music in South Korea which basically was popular back in the 60s and 70s. Artists use this "distinct" singing style and vocal inflections to create trot music's unique sound. According to some English translations of the lyrics online, "Super Tuna" is a song about Jin going fishing and a tuna asking him to take it. LOL.
In the video, Jin and two dancers perform adorable choreography by a lifeguard tower on a beach. Naturally, ARMY want to know exactly where the performance video was filmed.
According to K-pop news site Koreaboo, Jin apparently revealed in a live broadcast that they had filmed the video in the US, sometime in the middle of their Permission To Dance concerts in LA.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed the number "five" painted on the lifeguard tower in the video, which is a *major* clue about the location's whereabouts. It's speculated that "Super Tuna" might have been filmed near any of the nine towers in Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey, California.
We're sure that area's going to be a tourist attraction, now. Happy birthday, Jin!
