The list of reasons why ARMYs are dedicated to BTS goes on and on—because seriously, there’s no reason not to love them. Their songs? Euphoria in a nutshell. Music videos? Stunning. Choreography? Jaw-dropping. Personalities? The best. To add more, they are definitely animal lovers, as seen on their official Twitter account.
These furry friends that BTS owns are already known by their fans, but for new ARMYs, we have a quick guide on the members’ super adorable pets, who've gotten so much attention and love just like their owners.
1. Yeontan
Also called Tannie, this adorable Pomeranian is one of V’s furry babies. He actually adopted Yeontan! Tannie is immensely loved by the boys (and ARMYs!), and was also featured on BTS’ 2018 documentary, Burn The Stage: The Movie.
For Tannie’s 2020 birthday, the little pupper just got a birthday ad placed on the SM Mall of Asia Globe by his Filipino fanbase, TaehgersPH—aww!
K-drama actor Park Seo Joon, who's the paw parent of the equally-adorable Simba, is good friends with V (they have a group called the Wooga Squad!) Here’s a cute photo of Tannie and Simba during their play date. #SquadGoals
2. Soonshim, Ssyongssong, and Kkanji
V is definitely a dog dad! Aside from Tannie, he also owns two beauties named Soonshim and Ssyongssyong, and a Chinchilla Persian named Kkanji.
3. Rapmon
Good Monie to all! Rapmon, or Monie, is owned by RM which is derived from his former stage name. The wordplay genius once tweeted a photo of Monie with the caption, “I want you Monie Monie yup”, a witty reference from BTS’ hit song “Blood, Sweat, Tears”. We saw what you did there, RM.
4. Gureum
Gureum which translates to “cloud” in Korean, perfectly describes this fluff of a pup owned by Jungkook.
5. Holly
Suga sure loves his puppy, and even calls him Min Holly (ICYDK, Min is the resident rapper’s last name)—a toy poodle who’s too cute to resist. For his birthday in 2017, BTS’ official Twitter account greeted Suga along with a photo of him and what seems to be a drawing of Holly in the background. Aww!
6. Mickey
Our ray of sunshine, J-Hope, has someone who brings him so much joy, and that’s his dog, Mickey. The round-eyed Shih Tzu is just too cute for words that we can’t help but sing “Oh, Mickey you’re so fine!”
7. Jjangu
1/3 of Jin’s pets is Jjangu, a Maltese that we’d love to pet just the same!
8. Odeng and Gukmul
These sugar gliders are named after the Korean cuisine fish cake soup, which translates to Odeng and Gukmul in Korean. Jin takes care of these marsupials with so much care because they are vulnerable creatures. In a live broadcast on V Live, Jin announced that Odeng has passed away.
