Heaven Peralejo is closing the year 2023 with much pride and happiness as she became Ginebra's 2024 Calendar Girl. In an interview, she revealed that she was given two months to prepare for the cover. And although she was too hard on herself trying her best to lose weight, Ginebra assured her that she was already sexy in her own ways.
"I became too hard on myself because I wasn’t seeing results... It was at this point when (people from Ginebra) talked to me. They said, ‘We’re not pressuring you to lose weight. [...] We want to show people that more than your body size, you feel confident, you feel sexy. That’s what matters," she shared.
Last November 30, Ginebra launched Heaven's first-ever cover with them and she was on fire!
2. Julia Barretto
Year by year, Julia Barretto is keen on leaving an impression on how bold and empowered she is as a woman. Indeed, her cover as Tanduay's 2024 calendar girl proved her undeniable allure.
The 26-year-old actress sure was thrilled to represent Tanduay's brand but she says it was also a chance for her to express herself better. "Excited but nervous because it means having to be a lot more braver in expressing myself," she said.

3. Nadine Lustre
Yup, Nadine Lustre is now a calendar girl for Paraiso Craft Style Beer. It was a milestone for the seasoned actress as she entered her thirties era. Paraiso Beer is relatively a new brand in the liquor industry but Nadine says it offers something new to the public.
"Sobrang different siya from the other calendars just because it's more on the folklore, Philippine folklore, mystic, magical, mystical side," Nadine shared.

History of Calendar Girls
The term "calendar girls" became popular after Angela Baker and her friends came up with a non-conventional calendar cover way back in 1998.
Short history: It all began when Angela's husband, John died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 1998. While Angela was coping with her husband's death, her friend and Women's Institute (WI) co-member Tricia Stewart suggested something unique for them to do: to raise funds for a new sofa in a cancer facility by selling WI calendars.
WI Calendars usually featured beautiful landscapes of England. What Angela and 10 more of her friends did was a nude photo shoot of each of them for every month of the year. Their calendar was released on April 12, 1999 and sold 88,000 copies! Angela was the February cover girl too!
Over time, their playful idea inspired others to pursue a naked photoshoot. Their story was also adapted into a 2003 film with the title, Calendar Girls.
