Carla Abellana recently made headlines following her separation from her husband Tom Rodriguez. While she did not go into detail about what happened between her and her ex-partner, Carla revealed that she was hurt and “betrayed” by their split.
“I was disrespected. I was betrayed. I was lied to. I was used. I was shamed. I was made to look so stupid,” she shared through the comments section of her vlog published in June this year.
In her interview with Luis Manzano, the First Lady star opens up about the things she learned after what she admits to be a “low point” in her life.
“Ang pinaka-importanteng natutunan ko [this past year is] you really never know kung anong mangyayari,” she shares. “Sometimes life just hits you, hindi mo alam what’s going to happen tomorrow, so you only have today. There are times na talagang unpredictable ang buhay.”
Despite the challenges she endured, Carla remains optimistic when it comes to love.
“Honestly, madami namang definition ang love, but yes of course. Kung walang love, wala tayong buhay,” she says. “There’s your family love, the love of my dogs, the love of your friends—love is all around.”
